We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a technology company with more than 30 years of experience in software development in the field of security and automation. Its products are used worldwide for data analysis and verification.
Objectives of this role
Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Maintain and improve services observability and proactive monitoring
Responsibilities
Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support
Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
Develop scripts to automate deployment process
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Required skills and experience
Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
Problem-solving attitude
Collaborative team spirit
Basic IT knowledge. Network/Applications analysis & troubleshooting
Basic IT Security knowledge
Strong Linux administration experience
Scripting experience: Bash, Python is a plus
App containerization. Docker/Podman
CI: Jenkins/GitHub Actions, GitLab CI is a plus
Preferred skills and experience
Strong top 3 cloud provider experience. (Preferred AWS)
Infrastructure as a Code toolset. Ansible, Packer, Terraform
Kubernetes, Helm
Monitoring. Grafana stack, Prometheus
English writing/speaking B1+
Experience at GCP/Azure/Hetzner is a plus
