Required:
- Minimum of 8 years work experience as a DBA in the IT industry with proven experience in data migration projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB.
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Solid scripting skills in Python, Ruby or bash for automation and maintenance tasks.
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
- The ability and desire to learn new technologies while supporting existing systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple databases and projects simultaneously.
- Experience with monitoring tools for database performance analysis and fault detection.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Upper-Intermediate English
- Expertise with cloud-based database services, particularly AWS and Google Cloud.
- Experience in ETL processes and tools like Pentaho, Talend or Airflow.
- Experience with Spanner
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design, plan, and execute data migration projects.
- Utilize DBA experience to manage and maintain PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB databases, ensuring the accuracy and security of data.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation and regularly monitor and optimize database performance.
- Apply scripting skills to automate and maintain tasks within the database environment.
- Showcase a proactive approach to learning new technologies while simultaneously supporting existing systems.
- Use monitoring tools to regularly analyze database performance and quickly identify and rectify faults or issues.
- Contribute effectively to cross-functional team activities, communicating clearly and effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
