  • Minimum of 8 years work experience as a DBA in the IT industry with proven experience in data migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Ruby or bash for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • The ability and desire to learn new technologies while supporting existing systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple databases and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with monitoring tools for database performance analysis and fault detection.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Upper-Intermediate English

  • Expertise with cloud-based database services, particularly AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Experience in ETL processes and tools like Pentaho, Talend or Airflow.
  • Experience with Spanner

Your responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design, plan, and execute data migration projects.
  • Utilize DBA experience to manage and maintain PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB databases, ensuring the accuracy and security of data.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation and regularly monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Apply scripting skills to automate and maintain tasks within the database environment.
  • Showcase a proactive approach to learning new technologies while simultaneously supporting existing systems.
  • Use monitoring tools to regularly analyze database performance and quickly identify and rectify faults or issues.
  • Contribute effectively to cross-functional team activities, communicating clearly and effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
