Our expectations
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Data / ETL engineer
  • Strong expertise in various database technologies, including but not limited to PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL
  • Strong skills in database languages, including proficiency in SQL and ability to develop and optimize SQL queries
  • Proficiency in Python for creating and optimizing ETL processes
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to assess complex systems and develop effective solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Upper-Intermediate English

Nice-to-have
  • Certification in database or ETL technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and executing complex data migration project focusing on migration from AWS to GCP
  • Utilize expertise in database technologies to ensure successful data migration
  • Participate in designing, developing, and managing ETL framework specifically tailored to data migration tasks
  • Conduct thorough data profiling and data quality assessment tasks before, during, and after the migration to ensure data integrity
  • Apply performance optimization techniques to ensure efficient transfer of data between systems without compromising the performance of the source or target systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Document all processes, including source-target mapping, data transformation rules, and any issues encountered with their resolutions
  • Continually monitor the health and performance of the migrated data in the new system, optimizing as necessary
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, providing technical guidance
